Biography

Aaron was born in Oct 1839 in Alabama, United States. He was the son of Jones Curry and Mary Bird. His family moved from Georgia to Putnam Co, Florida, where they lived in 1850.

In the 1850 census Jackson (age 12) was in Putnam, Florida.[1]

From 1856 to 1858, he fought in the Indian War as Florida Mounted Volunteer. [2]

His mother died around 1858. The family relocated further south. In the 1860 census Aaron (age 21) was in Enterprise, FL. He lived alone and worked as a farmer. His father lives nearby with his new wife and baby. [3]

You may want to investigate whether A. J. Curry settled at Curry's Ford of the Econlockhatchee River ante 1890 in east Orange County, Florida. Aaron and Mary were enumerated in Orange County with their seven children in the 1885 Florida State Census.
