Biography

Susanah Dailey was the daughter of Ebenezer Daily and Lydia (Paine( (Drinkwater) Dailey. The only record found of her is her death record, at Livermore, Maine (then in Massachusetts), where the entry reads, "Susanah Dailey, the child of Mr. N. Dailey, died January 21^st 1806." That death date is exactly two weeks after her mother's death at Livermore.^[1]

Research Note

Nezer Dailey and Lydia (Paine) Drinkwater published their marriage intention at Freetown, Massachusetts, on 4 Feb 1784, and they probably married a month or so later. They recorded seven children at Livermore, starting in September 1786, and it appears to be a complete list of their children born there. Susanah is not among those children. I think the most likely explanation is that she was born in late 1784 or 1785, before her parents moved to Livermore, and her birth is therefore not among those in the records there.
