Biography

Kenneth was born about 1915. He is the son of Walter Daly and Emily Furner.

The Electoral roll of 1937 shows Ken living at 185 Cleveland Street with Emily Daly (possibly his mother) and Ethel Mary Monica Daly (his brother Herbert's wife). His occupation listed was "canistermaker".

Following his older brother Herbert Daly, Ken enlisted in the Armed Forces in Leichhardt, to serve in World War II. His service number was: NZ172949.

On 30 March 1948 he was discharged from the Army - 14 FIELD AMBULANCE - in which unit he was a Staff Sergeant.

In 1949 to at least 1954, Ken Daly was living at 10 Walker Street and his occupation was bus conductor.
