Biography

William E. Daly was the son of William A. Daly and Emarine Abernathy. He was married to Sarah Ann Murrell. William E. Daly was buried on December 19, 1857 in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Fayette, Tennessee. William E. Daly was my 3xggrandfather.

DIED.

In Colliersville, Tenn., on the 29th ult., W.E. DALY, Esq., of Macon, Tenn., in the 44th year of his age. The deceased left his home and family on Monday previous to his death for Memphis, whither he was called on business; was taken ill the following night, and started for his home next day, but so violent was the attack that he was unable to proceed further than Colliersville, where he breathed his last. His remains were on the following day brought home where they were received by a large crowd of heart-stricken friends. On the morning following they were taken charge of by the Masonic Fraternity, and carried to Mt. Pleasant burying ground, and interred with all the honors of the Order. Thus has passed away a most inestimable citizen, a loving husband, a kind parent, and a good Mason.
