Biography

Louisa Catheine Ethelreda Daniell was born in Argentina, and baptised on 3 November 1889 at Concordia. Her parents were Walter Le Geyt Daniell and Louisa Montresor. ^[1]

Louisa's mother died in 1892, and she and her father travelled to England in 1893, arriving in Southampton on 28 September.^[2]

In the 1911 census Louisa appears twice, as a visitor of Oliver Robert Hawks Busy at Roe Hill, Hatfield, Hertfordshire, England^[3] and as the niece of Emily Cecilia Browne at 56 Eaton Terrace, St George Hanover Square, London, England.^[4]

Louisa's marriage to John Arthur Barclay was registered in the Jul-Aug-Sep quarter of 1914 in the St.Geo.H.Sq. district.^[5]

Louisa's death was registered in the Jan-Feb-Mar quarter of 1986 in the Hertford/w district.^[6] She died on 6 August 1986 in Widford, Herts. and her estate passed probate on 12 December 1986 in Birmingham.^[7]

Research Notes

According to the creator of this profile, Louisa and James' marriage was dissolved in 1928, but I have not found a source for this. Louisa's death was registered under her married name in 1986. The date and place of the marriage likewise is unsourced. Southgate-301 12:20, 23 October 2022 (UTC)
