Biography
South Australian Register 16 Sep 1865 QUINTRELL - DATSON On the 2nd September, at Moonta Wesleyan Chapel, by licence, by the Rev. C. T. Newman, Mr. Stephen Quintrell, to Miss Mary Ann Datson, both of Moonta.[1]

Mrs. M. A. Quintrell Mrs. M. A. Quintrell, who recently died at her home, Moonta Mines aged 89 years, was a native of Cornwall, and at the age of three years she came to Australia with her parents, and went to Moonta when about 17 years of age. Her husband was the late Mr. Stephen Quintrell, who died many years ago, and will be remembered as a surveyor with the Wallaroo and Moonta Co. Three of her sons (Clarry, Jack and Dick) lost their lives in the Great War. The surviving members of the family comprise one son (Stephen, of Adelaide), and five daughters (Misses Mary J., and Rose, Moonta Mines; Violet, of Kadina; and Mrs. P. Sampson, of Adelaide).[2]
