William Lewis Davenport was born on 28 May 1873 in Nebraska City, Nebraska.[1]
He graduated from Peru Normal (now Peru State College) in Peru, Nebraska in 1894.[2]
On 11 Oct 1905 he married Barbara D Majors in Peru, Nebraska.[3]
They had a son and a daughter.
They moved into her widowed father's house and took care of him, the house and the farm.[4]
William died 20 Apr 1940 in Peru, Nebraska.[5]
He is buried with his wife Barbara in Mount Vernon Cemetery in Peru.[6]
