From family notes: Visited Ireland on his wedding trip with his wife Elizabeth Dick. His letters are the main source for much of what we know so far. Lived in upper half of 3300 Clinton Ave S in 1906. He owned land in Bloomington that Josephine Elizabeth Layman and Blaine Ross McCutchan tried to farm for a few years in the early 1920's.
€ Josephine McCutchan interview, 1979: Thought of him as a "stuffed shirt". Lived on farm with the woods called Mounds View with Indian mounds on it about the creek in Bloomington with the spring and the ram, east of Portland at about Chicago & Old Shakopee Rd. I was also told it was closer to Cedar Avenue off Orchard Springs Road. Was the first principal at Lincoln School in St. Louis Park
Daughter said he died of rheumatic fever from childhood
