Mary Davis, daughter of Absalom Davis and Priscilla Williams, was born about 1856 to 1857 in Indiana.[1]
She was enumerated with her parents and siblings, living in Henry Township, Fulton County, Indiana, during the 1860 and 1870 censuses.[1][2]
Mary had three known marriages, but information about them is incomplete. Her father's 1895 will names her as "Mary Slotter."[3]
She then apparently married --?-- Schuler, with whom she was later widowed.[4]
She married a third time to Frederick J. Moll, son of Joseph C. Moll and Catherina Plassman, on 28 October 1909 in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California.[4][It is possible Slotter and Schuler are variants of the same person. This needs more research to clarify.]
Mary "Schuler-Moll" and Frederick Moll were living at 2211 South Union Avenue in Los Angeles during the 1910 census. There were six boarders from five different states living in their home.[5]
Mary was living in California at the time of her brother Elmore's death in 1914.[6]
Research Notes
Need to find information about her Slotter and Schuler marriages. Also need to search census records in Indiana and Los Angeles for 1880, 1900, 1920, 1930, 1940. Death in California?
