Margaret Jane Davison was born in Sunderland, Durham, England, United Kingdom on August 1, 1845 [1]
She was the daughter of Joseph Davison and Ann Willis Davison. Margaret Jane Davison was christened in Wolsingham, Durham, England on April 5, 1846.
Two more sisters, Mary Ann and Ellen, were born in England. Joseph Davison immigrated to the United States in 1851. He sent for his wife and daughters in 1852.<1>
The obituary for Margaret Jane Davison Garrett Ogle stated, "...her parents left England in 1850 and came to Washington, D.C. where they lived seven years and where Margaret Jane received her first public school instruction...
Her parents still possessing that adventurous spirit pushed on west into Kansas then a territory arriving on the young ladys (sic) twelfth birthday August 1, 1857."<1>
Joseph and Ann Davison are recorded as some of the first settlers of Johnson, County, Kansas.<1>

Margaret Jane Davison married Elias Garrett April 21, 1861. in Johnson County, Kansas. The ceremony was performed by Milton Hadley, Justice of the Peace. Elias was also an immigrant from England. His parents and several brothers lived in Kansas.
Margaret and Elias had five children: Emma Jane (1862), William Henry (1863), George Joseph (1865), and twins: Elias Reason and Mary Ann Garrett (1868).
Margaret, Elias, Emma Jane, and William Henry are recorded in the 1865 Kansas State census in McCamish Township, Johnson County, Kansas on August 4. George Joseph was born September 10, 1865.
Elias died March 30, 1868, three months before the birth of the twins, on June 29, 1868.
Mary Ann died May 5, 1871 in Johnson County, Kansas.
Margaret Jane Davison Garrett married second James Washington Ogle on February 27, 1879. It was his second marriage, also.
James W. Ogle was a farmer, a preacher, and a businessman. He was born in 1842 in Morgan County, Indiana. His family moved to Pike County, Illinois, where he was raised. As a young man, he enlisted as a Union soldier of the Civil War and served his country for over two years and six months.<3> He married his first wife, Permelia McClintock February 12, 1861.
Following the close of the war, in 1868, he moved to Kansas buying 160 acres of land in Elk County. Later, he purchased an additional 480 acres of land and 225 head of cattle. During this time he was active in church life, and led the congregation of which he was a member in the building of a house of worship. On February 27, 1879 he married Margaret Jane Garrett nee Davison, who was born in Durham, England in 1845. Her father was one of the first settlers of Johnson County, Kansas. "<1>
Her daughter, Emma Jane, married Levi Ogle, May 28, 1881 in Johnson County, Kansas. He was the brother of James W. Ogle.
Levi Ogle moved with his family to Chillicothe, Mo. in 1900 and after a short while moved to the Anadarko territory where he and his brother, Wash Ogle, established a mercantile store. Site of their first business was a frame building near the present location of Youngheim's Clothing Store.<3>
In 1902 the Ogle brothers constructed a two story brick building in the 100 block of East Broadway and established the People's Store. He remained in the mercantile business until 1923 when his health forced him to retire.<3>
Always a leader in civic affairs while in active business, Levi Ogle served as president of the Anadarko Chamber of Commerce in 1909 and was a member of the Anadarko IOOF lodge and the encampment.<3>
Levi and his brother, James W., formed a partnership and opened Ogle Brothers, a mercantile store, in Anadarko, Oklahoma.
Margaret and Wash were divorced. (He married Hester Ann Vincent November 11, 1908.) Margaret continued to live in Anadarko, Oklahoma for the remainder of her life. Margaret was buried in the Memory Lane Cemetery, the Ogle Plot, Anadarko, Oklahoma. Margaret's grave was marked, "Grandma Margaret". Her daughter, Emma Jane Garrett Ogle, the wife of Levi Ogle, was also buried in Memory Lane Cemetery,
