Biography

Emanuel E.,[1] son of Captain Emanuel and Rebecca (Gonsolus) De Graff, was born in 1789. [2]

He married Jane Teller, born in 1788. She was of the sixth generation in descent from William Teller, born in 1620, the first of his name in New York, and a merchant in Albany for fifty years. His (William Teller's) son, Johannes Teller, was captured at the time of the massacre of Schenectady in 1690, and taken to Canada. Emanuel and Jane married in '1809— married June 8, Emmanuel E. DeGraaf of Schenectady 4th Ward and Jane Teller', also of Schenectady 4th Ward.[3][4]

In July of 1835 Emmanuel E. DeGraff was granted land from his maternal Uncle Emmanuel Consalus.[5]

Manuel, the second, died in Amsterdam July 1st, 1844, leaving several children. "Philip Toll, Esq., of Glenville, married one of his daughters."[6][7]
