Harmon DeHaven (b. 1 Jul 1682, d. Apr 23 1752)

Harmon (in den Hoven) DeHaven (son of Evert (in den Hoven) DeHaven and Lisebiet Schippenbauer) was born July 1, 1682, died 23 April 23, 1752. He married Annica Margaretha op den Graef (daughter of Abraham op den Graef and Trijntje Catharine Jensen) February 5, 1710 at Wytmes Church in Whitemarsh, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania; born 1697 in Germantown, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; died 1760.

(i) Edward Dehaven, born 1710, Skippack Twp., Montgomery County, Pennsylvania; died 1781, Union City, Berks County, Pennsylvania.

(ii) Abraham Dehaven, born 1711, Skippack Twp., Montgomery County, Pennsylvania; died April 8, 1771, Loudoun County, Virginia.

(iii) Katherine Dehaven, born 1713; died 1792.

(iv) Mary Dehaven, born 1714, Trappe Twp., Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; died October 19, 1778; married Samuel Seely, born April 4, 1710 in Stamford, Fairfield, Connecticut; died 1779 in Lower Smithfield, Northampton, Pennsylvania.

Came to America 1706, bought land on Skippack Creek with his brother Gerhart DeHaven

"Took the oath of allegiance,with his brothers across the Schuylkill River from Valley Forge

"Herman's name appears on the petition for the earl road which was the beginning of the Skippack Pike. The road was described as leading from the upper end of Bebbers Twp to the "widemarsh", or Farmer's Mill (Fort Side).Herman and his brother Gerhardt bought 440 acres of land on the upper edge of the village on the Skippack Creek in 1706.

The two families conveyed 200 acres of this land to a Peter Hansen on May 2, 1723.

Residence: 1723 Evansburg, Lower Providence Twp., Montgomery Co., Pennsylvania

Herman and his family then moved to New Providence,near Evansburg, where he was living on a 200-acre tract in 1734.

His will was made October 1, 1749, and proved April 23, 1752, at the Township of Providence.

Burial: Skippack Mennonite Meeting House Cemetery, Skippack Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania
