Biography

Carter DeHaven Jr. was born on December 23, 1910 in New York City. He was the son of Carter DeHaven Sr. and Flora Parker DeHaven. Some sources seem to indicate that his mother may have been Evelyn Burd (Carter Sr.'s second wife), however, her birth date of 1906 makes this impossible.

Carter was a producer and director in Hollywood, and began his career around 1945 (age 34-35) in the movies. By 1954, he branched into television shows, and from that point forward he worked in both mediums. He wrapped up his career around 1965, with the exception of a single movie in 1975.

He was known to most as Carter DeHaven, but also by Carter DeHaven Jr and Carter de Haven Jr.

Carter died on March 1, 1975 in Encino, California at the age of 64. His place of burial is currently unknown.
