Anna Sophia was born on the 12th of October 1872 in Unteröwisheim[1]. The in "Find a grave" given birthday must be wrong. She was the daughter of Jacob Friedrich Deckinger and Elisabetha Wilhelmina born Oberst[1]. And had at least six brothers and sisters[1].

On the 28th of December 1899 she married Charles Hilgenfeld, they had at least three children, Silas, Clarence Freie and Carl Freie[2].

She passed away on the 05th of April 1941[2]. She was burried on Zion Bethel Cemetery, Jefferson Township, Richardson County, Nebraska, USA[2].

The Falls City Journal, Falls City, Neb., Mon., Apr 7, 1941:

Long-time Citizen Expires Suddenly Heart disease caused the unexpected death of Mrs. Anna Hilgenfeld, 68, at her home, 2203 Lane street, at 9 o'clock Saturday night. Mrs. Hilgenfeld had not been feeling well for about two days but her condition had not been regarded as serious. Mrs. Hilgenfeld came to Richardson county from Germany when she was seven years old and had lived here ever since. She was born October 9, 1872, in Baden, Germany. Her maiden name was Anna Deckinger. She was married to Charles Hilgenfeld December 28, 1899. They lived on a farm northeast of Falls City. Mr. Hilgenfeld died in 1927 and she remained on the farm until three years ago when she moved to town. She is survived by three sons, Silas Hilgenfeld, Falls City, Clarence Hilgenfeld, Dawson, and Carl Hilgenfeld, Falls City; a brother, William Deckinger, Falls City, and two sisters, Mrs. Frieda Koehler, Elberta, Ala., and Mrs. Gus Hilgenfeld, McPherson, Kas. Four grandchildren also survive. The funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Zion Evangelical church, northeast of town. The Rev. W. E. Daeschner will conduct the services. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will remain at Simpson-Dorr & Philpot's until the time for the funeral.
