James [sic] Deeter (male 13 y.o.) was recorded in the 1870 U.S. Census, residing in State Center, Marshall, Iowa, in the household of Levi Deeter (M 35), with Rebecca Deeter (F 33), Aequilla Deeter (M 11), Daniel Deeter (M 9), Jacob Deeter (M 7), Frances Deeter (F 5), Samuel Brant (M 39), Joseph Nopes (M 22), and William H Nepes (M 28). All the Deeters were born in Ohio.

Jonas Deeter (male 43, farmer) was recorded in the 1900 U.S. Census, residing in Cleveland, Dewey, Leonard, South Valley & Wolf Creek Townships, Rolette, North Dakota, with wife Vianna Deeter (41), sons Charles W Deeter (19), Jonathan F Deeter (17), and Carry C Deeter (9), and dau Bertha C Deeter (16).
