Biography
George Demuth (aka Damewood) was the twin of Andreas.
Bethania Township was in Surry County, North Carolina, in 1780. The Moravian diaries at Bethania on January 10, 1780 record that one of their ministers visited the home of Heinrich Demuth, where he baptized Demuth's twins, George and Andreas.
Grant from the State of Tennessee to George Dameworth 28 November 1828 for 100 acres in Humphreys County. Signed by Gov. William Carroll 15 Apr 1831.[1]
George Damewood sells 60 acres in Humphreys Co., Tennessee to Boston Damewood on 15 November 1838.[2] Witnesses Jacob Binkley and James Mences sworn 15 Aug 1840. [3]
On 8 July 1841 Jacob Binkley sold 60 acres in Humphreys Co., Tennessee to George Damewood.[4]
George Damewood sells 60 acres in Humphreys Co., Tennessee to Henry Damewood on 6 Jan 1842.[5]
On 29 Oct 1855 Henry Damewood and his wife Frances transfer 60 acres in Humphreys Co., Tennessee to their son-in-law J.R. Petty.[6]
