Martha Patty Denbow was born on July 27, 1751 in Dover, Strafford, New Hampshire. She was the daughter of John Denbow and Rose (Tibbetts) Denbow.[1] She married Hatevil Leighton in Dover in 1772.[2] She and Hatevil likely moved to Plantation Two in Washington County, Maine - now the towns of Dennysville and Pembroke - after his Revolutionary War service between 1783 and 1790 since he appears there in the 1790 census. Online trees state that she died in 1812 in Pembroke, but this has not been documented.
