Deborah was born in 1817. She was the daughter of Alexander Dent and Violetta Dent. She passed away in 1905.

Mrs. Deborah Dent Mankln, widow of James Mankln, who was a prominent citizen of Washington, died last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Deborah .C. Brooks, 1929 Fourteenth street northwest, at the age of 88 years. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2.30 P. M. from the Pro-Cathedral of the Ascension, Massachusetts avenue and Twelfth street northwest.
Mrs. Mankln was a native of Charles county, Maryland. Her father was Major Alexander Dent, an officer In the War of 1812, and her great-grandfather was Brig. Gen. John Dent, who was military commander In charge of the Maryland Colonial troops In 1776, In the War of the Revolution. Mrs. Mankin was also a direct descendant of Sir Thomas Dent, of Yorkshire, Eng., who In 1662 was the first proprietor of Glesboro Manor and estate, the land having been granted him by the Crown. This estate was situated at the mouth of the Anacostla river, known as the Eastern Branch of the Potomac river. Mrs. Mankin was a charter member of the Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She is survived by four children Mrs. Deborah C. Dent, Mr. James D. Mankln, Mrs. A. Dallas Tucker and Mr. Harry Dent Mankln.
