Vincent DEW was born on 24 July 1899 in Charlton, Colony of Victoria, the son of Henry Dew (1860-1942) and Mary Alice Foreman (1868-1939). [1]
21 February 1918, Vincent enlisted in the Australian Imperial Forces, Service number: 51566 and was assigned to the 39th Battalion then 3rd Army F.A.B. He saw service in France, attained the rank of Gunner, returned to Australia and was discharged on 15 August 1919[2].
In 1939, in Victoria, he married divorcee Dorothy Marguerite Mary (Hautrive) Kellway (1904-1975). [3]
They had no children.
Vincent passed away on 10 November 1967 in Kerang, Victoria, Australia, aged 68[4][5] and was interred at the Springvale Botanical Cemetery[6].
