Biography

John Simpson Dickson was born on April 24, 1818, in Pendleton, South Carolina, United States, son of William Dickson (1794–1869) and Elizabeth Ann Abbott (1791–1874). He is mentioned in his father's will of 1853 and was one of the executors in 1869. [1]

John (23) married Sarah Terrell (16) (born on September 20, 1825, in Pickens, Pendleton, South Carolina; daughter of Aaron Terrell Jr. and Clarissa (Harrison) Terrell) about 1842. [2] [3]

Their daughter was Clarissa Elizabeth Dickson (1843–1849).

John (47) married Hepsibah Terrell (38) (born on November 27, 1827, in Pickens, South Carolina; daughter of Aaron Terrell Jr. and Clarissa (Harrison) Terrell) in 1866. They did not have any children. [4] [5] [6]

John died on August 9, 1904, in Oconee, South Carolina, aged 86. He is buried in Terrell Cemetery, Westminster, South Carolina. [7]
