Sarah was born in 1869 in DeSoto Co., Miss., the daughter of Noah Diffee and Elizabeth Henshaw.[1] When she was about age 4, her parents moved to Tate Co., Miss. She was with them and her siblings on the 1880 census there.[2]
In Aug 1889, in Tate Co., Miss., she married John Warner Sellars (1869–1911).[3] Their children were Nora Lee, Lester, Marguerite Alice, Arnold Claude, Metral Mae, James Noal, Sam M., and John Warner, all born between 1889 and 1910, in Sarah, Tate Co., Miss.[4][5]
John was a Farmer. He died in 1911. By the 1920 census, Sallie had moved to Kirk, McCurtain Co., Okla., where she was farming with four of her children.[6]
In 1930, she and her children were in Osborn, Maricopa Co., Ariz. She was not working, but the children were working a variety of jobs.[7]
In 1940, She was with Nora on a farm in Kirk, McCurtain Co., Okla.[8]
She passed away in 1945, in McMinnville, Yamhill Co., Ore.[9] She was probably living there with Nora, who was living in Oregon about that time.
