Biography

Tjitske was born on 5 December 1793 in Oudehaske, and baptized 29 December 1793, daughter of Jan Bartels and Sjouwkjen Sybes. [1] [2]

Geesjen Jans Dijkstra was married to Cornelis Jacobs Polak on 25 April 1816 in Woudsend. Geesjen was 22 and Cornelis was 43. The marriage registry lists the parents of Cornelis as Jacob Jans Polak (father) and Cornelisjen Egberts (mother). Geesjen's parents are listed as Jan Barteles Horenstra (father) and Sjoukje Sybes (mother). [3]

Tjitske Jans Dijkstra, widow of Kornelis Jacobs Polak, was married to Jiske Michiels Ruiter on 8 March 1829 in Aengwirden. [4]

Tjitske Jans Dijkstra died on 23 July 1863 at 3 a.m on board of a ship in Tjalleberd, widow of Kornelis Jacobs Polak, married to Jiske Migchiels Ruiter, leaving behind 4 adult children from her first marriage and 1 from the second one. [5]

Van Eyssen-5 Simone (van Eyssen) Dunkerley
Dijkstra-1088 and Dijkstra-426 appear to represent the same person because: Same person, just different spellings. However, death date may need to be verified.

Husband is currently an un-merged match as well as several of her children.
