Biography
Magloire Dion was born on 25 Sep 1795 and was baptized the next day in Saint-Nicolas parish in Lévis, Bas-Canada. He was the son of Louis Dion dit Deslauriers and Catherine Bourassa. Sponsors at the infant Magloire's baptism were Joseph Douville and Marie Théverge Gosselin; neither signed the register.[1]
Magloire Dion, son of Louis Dion (of Paroisse Saint-Nicolas) and Catherine Bourasse (deceased), and Genevieve Samson, daughter of Jean Samson and Genevieve Roberge, were married 4 November 1828 at Paroisse St-Joseph-de-la-Pointe-Lévy, Province du Canada. Louis Dion (father of Magloire), Joseph Dion (brother of Magloire), Jean Samson (father of Genevieve), and Jean Samson (brother of Genevieve) were present at the marriage.[2]
Magloire Dion dit Deslauriers, son of Magloire Dion dit Deslauriers and Geneviève Samson, and Sophie Demers, daughter of Magloire Demers and Suzanne Lefeb[vre] dit Boulanger, were married 7 August 1849 at Paroisse Saint-Nicolas, Province du Canada.[3]
