Vincent Dionne was born and baptized on 14 May 1826 in Rivière-Ouelle, Bas-Canada. His parents were Maurice Dionne and Marie Anne Hudon dite Beaulieu.[1]

Vincent Dionne married Marcelline Levesque, daughter of Germain Lévesque and Marguerite Rosalie Bérubé, on 21 Jun 1852 in Rivière-Ouelle. [2]
