Biography

Margaret was born in 1888. She was the daughter of Bill Dobbie and Nellie Price. On 1 June 1910 she married John (Jack) William Earl at Athol, Southland, NZ. The couple had 2 children, daughters, before Jack dies at age 27 on 25 March 1914. At some time after the death of Jack, Maggie moved with her 2 daughters to Canvastown, Marlborough where she became housekeeper to her brother James and his wife who suffered from severe crippling. She passed away in 1957 and was buried in the Havelock cemetery.
