Biography
Newton Jasper Dollison was born on 20 Jun 1840 in Guernsey, Ohio to parents Andrew Dollison. He married Mary Ann White on 13 Feb 1866 in Toulon, Stark, Illinois. Children: Emma Rosetta, Mary Jane, Susannah, John Andrew, Elizabeth, Susie Dorcas, George, William, Alice Elizabeth (Allie), Lucretia May, Martha Hulda, Sarah Jane.
It appears that the Spanish American War medallion was placed by his stone in error. He served in the Civil War in the Union Army, Company E, Illinois 112th Infantry Regiment from 20 Sep 1862 to 20 Jun 1865. He was a member of Milo GAR Post 275 at Milo, Iowa, enlisted 12 Aug 1862, private, Illinois.
