Marie Emelia Dorval was born on 7 Mar 1878 in St-Evariste-de-Forsyth, the daughter of Joseph Dorval and Adèle Bégin. She was baptised the next day with Edouard Champagne and Catherine Bégin standing as godparents[1].

On 18 May 1896 Octave Grondin, adult son of Odule(sic) Grondin and Louise Hamannes(sic) of St-Methode d'Adstock, married Emelia Dorval, minor daughter of Joseph Dorval and Adèle Bégin, in St-Evariste-de-Forsyth. Witnessed by father of the groom Odule Grondin, father of the bride Joseph Dorval, and signed by Emélia Dorval, Mathilde Bégin, Abraham Jacques, Malvina Jacques, and Honoré Bégin[4]. Note, father of the groom Augustin Grondin is known to have used the name Theodule, so Odule seems like a very possible match.
