Biography

John Doty was born on February 01, 1700 in Plymouth, Massachusetts. His parents were John Doty and Mehitable Nelson.

He married Lydia Dunham on July 06, 1724.^[1]

Together they had 4 children:

1. Elizabeth Doty
2. Ebenezer Doty
3. Edward Doten
4. Nathaniel Doten

He died in January 1749 in Plymouth, Massachusetts

Probate

His will is dated 19 January 1748/49 and proved on 3 April 1749 in Plymouth. He mentions his wife Lydia, and his children, Edward, Ebenezer, Elizabeth Fuller, and Nathaniel. His inventory was taken on 7 April 1749 in Plympton.^[2]

In 1751, his real estate was divided between the widow Lydia, and the sons, Edward, Ebenezer, and Nathaniel. ^[3]
