He married, in 14 Feb 1800, Jane, daughter of General Brady, of Leixlip House, County Kildare,
He was educated at Trinity College entered age 17 ca born 1772 [2]

Catherine Tamison Downing-Nesbitt, succeeded her brother; Catherine Tamison Downing Nesbitt (-26 Feb 1886) inherited Tubberdaly on 14 Oct 1858. Miss Nesbitt left Tubberdaly to her nephew Edward John in 1886. She died on 26 Feb 1886 in Kildare, Kildare, Ireland

The personalty was sworn under the value of 140£ (sic), on which a stamp duty of 1,800£ was paid. With the exception of two legacies of 5000£ each to his Sister Jane Downing Nesbitt and Mary Anne Downing Nesbitt ,the testator bequeathed his entire property. Including his real and freehold estates to his sister CATHERINE TAMISON Downing Nesbitt , who obtained the probate as his sole executor Freeman's Journal Wednesday 15 December 1858
