Biography
Zephaniah married Mehitable Beecher on May 31, 1779 in Woodbridge, New Haven, Connecticut. Record shows "Mehitable Beecher, Salem, and Zephaniah Downs, Bethany" [1] Her maiden name also shown as Beebee and Beebe.
Joseph Downs (his brother?) was administrator for the estate of Zephaniah Downs. Inventory was dated Feb. 21, 1785. [2] Joseph Downs was appointed guardian of Zeph Downs, age 2, son of Zeph Downs. [3]
