Biography

Matthew Francis Drake was born in 1843 in Costessey, Norfolk, England, the son of Mary Taylor and Francis Drake.^{[1][2][3][4][5]}

He was a police officer.^[4]

He married Charlotte Child Bond on 2 March 1865 at St Benedict Norwich.^[1] Their children were:

• Matthew Drake (1867?–?)^[2][3][1]
• Charlotte Eliza Drake (1871–1925)^[3][1]
• Lilly Margaret Drake (1875–?)^[3]
• Leonard Charles Drake (1889?–?)^[4][5]

Matthew died on 18 July 1915 in London, England, aged 72 years.^[1][6] His remains were interred at the City of London Cemetery and Crematorium in Newham, London.^[1]
