Biography

Nathaniel was born in 1861 in Stithians, Cornwall, England.

In the 1861 England Census Nathaniel D Drew was an infant of 1 month living at Herness, Stithians, Cornwall, England. He was Grandson to the head of the household John Pascoe aged 61 years. His mother Mary Jane Drew aged 27 years, and sister Jane C D Drew aged 2 years were also members of the household. ^[1]

He emigrated in 1864.

In the 1891 Census of Canada N Damar Drew was a Married man of 30 years, born about 1861 in England (his mother and father were born in England) and was the Head of the household at Richmond, Ontario. The family were Methodist. His wife was Sara Drew aged 26 years, and they had two children: Mary W Drew 2, and Pascoe Drew 3/12. ^[2]

In the 1901 Census of Canada Na'll D Drew Married man aged 40 years born on 27 February 1861 in England was Head of the household. He had immigrated in 1864 and, originally English, was now a Canadian national. He was a Methodist Clergyman in Hastings north, Ontario. Household Members were: Nall D Drew 40, Sara Drew 36, Mary W Drew 11, Vera P Drew 10, Pansy Drew 8, Nobld R Drew 6, and Milton Drew 2.^[3]

In the 1921 Census of Canada Nathaniel Drew Married man of 60 years born about 1861 in Ontario was Head of the household at 8 St George St, London, Ontario. His father was born in England and his mother in Wales. Nathaniel was a Methodist minister with an income of 1500. His wife Sarah Drew was 56 years of age. Daughter and son in law Vera Scandrett 30 and Ben Scandrett 29 were occupants, also Thalassa Elliot 35". ^[4]

He died in 1922. Nathaniel D Drew aged 61 years, born about 1861 in England, died on 1 October 1922 at Lincoln, Ontario, Canada as a result of Operation For Stone in Bladder. He was a Methodist Clergyman from 1883-1922, 39 years, and lived at 10 St George St, London, Ontario. His father: Nathaniel D Drew, born England and mother: Mary Jane Pascoe, born England. ^[5]
