Biography

Beverly Drinkard was born on 17 February 1793 in Charles City County, Virginia to William Rollerson Drinkard and Mary Cocke. He married Elizabeth Ann Cosby on 1 February 1817; they had 9 children. Beverly and his family owned slaves over the course of several decades. After his wife's death, he married Jane Rolfe on 2 November 1865. Beverly died on 1 December 1875 in Petersburg, Virginia.^[1] He is buried at Blandford Cemetery in Petersburg.^[2]
