Biography

Ellis Loraine Driskell was born in 1910. She is the daughter of Mack Driskell and Minnie Brent. Ellis attended St Joseph’s School of Nursing in Houston, Texas immediately after graduating from high school. She moved to Washington State in 1940, to work at Northern State Hospital in Sedro-Woolley. Ellis who was then known as "Tex" married Leonard C Scott on June 22, 1942. When her health began to decline, Ellis moved to Texas in 1999, to be near her daughter. She lived at Coastal Palms Nursing and Rehab Center in Portland, Texas, until July, 2006 when she relocated to Town and Country Nursing and Rehab in Boerne, Texas. Final resting place in Lyman Cemetery, Lyman, Skagit County, Washington.^[1]
