Etienne Jerome Valeri "Vileor" Dugas was born on 26 December 1819 in Ascension Parish, Louisiana. He was the son of Jerome Dugas and Eugenie Mathilde Arrieux. His baptism on 27 February 1820 was recorded at the Ascension Church in Donaldsonville.[1]
In 1850 they were counted on the census in Donaldsonville, Louisiana. He and Elodie had three daughters. His younger sister Ernestine was also in the household.[4]
By 1860 his sister had married and moved out, but his mother-in-law and brother-in-law had taken her place. They were still living in Donaldsonville.[5]
Vileor probably died on 2 July 1865 in Donaldsonville.[6]
