Biography

She was named Marietta or Mary Etta for aternal grandmother Marietta Babb, and Juanita after an aunt, but disliked both names and used only Mary.

She was for many years a salesperson at Fisher-Evans Jewelry in Chattanooga, Hamilton, Tennessee.

She was married to Arthur Henderson, with one son, Arthur Larry (1936-1995), who predeceased her. After a divorced, she married Arthur Johnson. She lived for most of her post-divorce years in apartments in downtown Chattanooga, Her final home was on Montview Drive off of Talley Road in the Brainerd suburb of Chattanooga, Hamilton, Tennessee.

She died in 1996 and is buried in Hamilton Memorial Gardens in Hixson, another suburb of Chattanooga. ^[1]
