Biography

Harriet Dunkin was born February 12, 1840,^[1] in Carroll County, Indiana. She was the daughter of Benjamin Dunkin and Jane Moon. She was in her parent's home in Carrolton, Carroll County, Indiana at age 17.^[2]In 1860, At age 25, Harriet was still in her parent's home in Carrollton Twp., Carroll County, Indiana.^[3]

She married George E Ferrier (1841-1898) on November 18, 1865 in Carroll County, Indiana.^[4] They had 2 children.

2. John Edward "Eddy" Ferrier (1869-)

George had two children from a prievious marriage.

1. James Ferrier-(1860- )
2. William Ferrier (1862-)

They Made their home on a farm in Deer Creek, Carroll County, Indiana in 1870, where George was engaged in Farming, and Harriett tended the home and was raising their children, James-11, William-8, Mattie-3 and Eddy-1.^[5] in 1880, James-21 and William-19 were helping their father with the farm with Mattie-13, John E-10 in the home with them.^[6]

She died on September 17, 1892 at the age of 52, Yrs. 7 M. 5 D. in Carroll County, Indiana and was buried in the Beech Grove Cemetery in Sharon, Carroll County, Indiana.^[1]
