"Hi![2] I've been looking for information on an "O. Catherine" who married William Hammond in KY, and only today discovered her name was Olive Catherine Dunnigan. "Shelby Co. Marriages, Vol.2" Hammond, William, of Shelby, age 30, 2nd marriage, farmer, b. Shelby; father b. KY; mother b. VA; and Olive Catherine Dunnigan, of Shelby, age 19, 1st marriage; dau. of Sophia Dunnigan b. KY; father b. KY; married Jan. 26 1865; bondsman Richard Hammond.[3]
And there was this entry in the 1850[4] Shelby Co. census: Dunnigan, W. (age 40, M, Farmer, b. NC), Sophia (39, F, b. KY), Howard (16, M, KY), James (14, M, KY), Nancy (11, F, KY), Henry C. (5, M, KY), Oliff [Olive, surely] (4, F, KY), Harrison (1, M, KY).
I've just begun looking into these new-found Dunnigans, so I don't have any death information yet, but I will probably be able to give you quite a few of Olive's descendants.
Do you know what the "W." stands for in the above census info?"
