In 1860, Juan Antonio Duran, age 36, a farmer, lived in El Llano, Taos, New Mexico Territory, with his wife, Rafaela Sanchez, age 24; and their children: Vidal Duran, age 8; Gabina Duran, age 8; Benito Duran, age 6-months old; along with a servant named, Tomasa Duran, age 15.[3]
In 1870, Juan Antonio Duran, age 36, a farmer, lived in Penasco, Taos, New Mexico Territory, with his wife, Rafaela Duran, age 31; and with their children: Vidal Duran, age 16; Entimeo Duran, age 15; Gabina Duran, age 13; Alcaria Duran, age 10; and Roman Duran, age 1; along with Casia Duran, age 28, a native American family servant, and her two children: Juana Duran, age 2; and Maria Duran, age 1-month-old.[4]
