Margaret was born on August 20, 1871. She was the daughter of Philip Duren and Mary Catherine Conner.

She passed away in 1968.

1880 - United States Federal Census - In the 1880 federal census, Phil D. Duren, 42, is listed as a merchantat Wiilliams Ranch in Brown County, Texas. Living with him is his wife Mary C., 30, and childrebn,, Mary L., 10, Margaret E.., 8, Sarah F., 6 and Jossie Mary 2 1/2.[2]

1900 - United States Federal Census - In the 1900 federal census, James Ward, 31, was a stock farmer in Justice Precinct 4, Stonewall County, Texas. Living with him was his wife, Maggie, 28. Others in the household are James E. Ward, 15, John Ward, 13, Reece S. Ward, 2, Ebenezer L. Ward, no age, Geo E. Rozell, no age, and Russell Jones, 28.[3]
