Rollin was born in 1872. He was the son of George Dutton and Laura Steenberge. He was called Moses by family members. He passed away in 1879.
Rollin Lincoln Dutton and his brother Francis John Dutton died from diphtheria. They were privately buried together at night in a family cemetery located behind their house, so neighbors would not be aware of their deaths.[1] The cemetery is labeled "Dutton" by the Vermont Old Cemetery Association. They are the only two burials in the cemetery, There were no headstones, and the cemetery was listed as abandoned in 1991.[2] A headstone has since been erected on the "Dutton" cemetery by family members. The headstone lists the boys names and date of death.[3]
