Arrived in America in 1869. Followed older brother Frank. Trained as a tailor to avoid military. Tailor in Chicago for Hart, Schaffer, Marx. Survived Chicago fire. Very active in Czechoslovakia Chicago. Featured in article (Svornost (Chicago Czech newspaper) on his 90th Birthday
