George was born in 1781, in Virginia. According to several family trees, he was the son of James Dyer and Winifred Tribble.
George appears to have been one of the last children to be born to the marriage of James Dyer and Winifred Tribble Dyer. After the dissolution of the marriage with Winifred, George's father married again. (James Dyer’s marriage to Mary Elliott took place in Grainger TN September 4, 1806. There is a clear picture of the document on ancestry.) [1] See his profile for more information.
