An Obituary for Mrs. Verna Dumas printed in The Los Angeles Times on December 10, 1953 reads: “Funeral services for Mrs. Verna Dumas, 76, will be conducted today at 1 p.m. in Pierce Bros. Beverly Hills Chapel, followed by entombment in Forest Lawn Mausoleum. A native of Anna, Tex., she had lived in Southern California for 48 years and died Monday at her home, 814 Westholme Ave. She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Frank Rouse; one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter.” [9]
