In his household are his wife Mary age 42 born in KY, son Saml age 24 born in MO, son Frank age 22 born in MO, son Will age 19 born in TX, son Louis age 17 born in TX, daughter Lanlie age 13 born in TX , son James age 11 born in TX, daughter Lallie age 9 born in TX, son Jack age 7 born in TX, daughter Maggie age 5 born in TX, and daughter Virna age 2 born in TX.^[1]

An Obituary for Mrs. Verna Dumas printed in The Los Angeles Times on December 10, 1953 reads: “Funeral services for Mrs. Verna Dumas, 76, will be conducted today at 1 p.m. in Pierce Bros. Beverly Hills Chapel, followed by entombment in Forest Lawn Mausoleum. A native of Anna, Tex., she had lived in Southern California for 48 years and died Monday at her home, 814 Westholme Ave. She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Frank Rouse; one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter.” ^[9]
