Biography
Palmer Dysart, son of Louis and Mabel Lakin (Palmer) Dysart was born December 21, 1904 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was twin brother of Birney Dysart. Palmer Dysart attended Northwestern University Medical School where he received his M.D. degree in 1930. He served an internship of 18 months at Cook County Hospital, specializing in orthopedics. After a short residency at Oak Park Crippled Children's Hospital, he returned to Phoenix where he went into private practice with his father, Louis Dysart in September 1931.
During W.W. II, Palmer served as Captain in the Medical Corps, USAAF, in New Guinea from 1942-1945. After his wartime service, he returned to private practice in Phoenix until 1957 when he went to work for the Arizona State Rehabilitation Office.
Palmer Dysart married Gertrude Hung of Great Neck, Long Island in 1928 and they had one daughter.
