Biography
Jeremiah, grandfather of the English composer George Dyson, was born in 1834 or 1835[1].
In 1841 he was with his parents at 'Buttress' [Buttress Lane?], Luddenden, Halifax.[2]
He married Mary Ann Roper, registered at Halifax in 3rd quarter 1857.[3]
In 1871, a painter, he and his wife are living with Mary's father William Roper at 7, Birks Hall Lane, Halifax, with their children John, Arthur and Sophia.[4]
He passed away on 7th March 1880[1].
He is buried in the cemetery of King Cross Methodist New Connexion non-conformist chapel, Halifax, with his wife Mary Ann and daughters Sophia and Lily[1]
