Anna Maria married Johannes Petrus Steinmetz in Heldenbergen (Friedberg) on 17 Jul 1764.[2]
She came with her husband to the Volga German colonies and had a one-week old newborn by the time they arrived from the ship to Walter colony. Her parents are the Döll families who settled in Walter and are reported on the Walter First Setter’s List in Families #34, #35, and #36.
She is listed in Walter census records as wife to Johann Peter Steinmetz.
Anna Maria Steinmetz most likely died before 1834 in Walter, Volga, Russia.
Johann Peter Steinmetz (son of Heinrich Steinmetz and his wife Anna Elisabeth) married Anna Maria Döll in the Catholic Church in Heldenbergen on 17 July 1764. The marriage record notes that they were both Lutheran. Anna Maria was the daughter of Erasmus Döll, and was baptized in Heckenbergheim (today called Bergheim) on 22 March 1741. Johann Peter and Anna Maria had one child in Heckenbergheim: a son Johann Jacob, born 12 November and baptized 17 November 1765, who was named for his father's brother Johann Jacob Steinmetz, a resident of Heldenbergen.
Johann Peter and Anna Maria arrived in Russia without any children on 13 September 1766. They settled in Walter and are reported in the Walter 1767 Census (First Settlers List) in Household #98, along with their one-week old son Johannes.
Heckenbergheim is near Gelnhaar and Usenborn and is today called Bergheim.[4]

The lists of recruiter Johann Facius record that on 13 February 1766, gathering at Aufenau to move to Russia, is the family of Johannes Steinmetz (age 26), a cobbler (Schuhmacher), with his wife and 2 children.
Johann Peter Steinmetz, a farmer, and his wife Anna Maria arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 13 September 1766 aboard the galliot Die Perle under the command of Skipper Thomson.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Walter on 10 September 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 98 along with their son Johannes (age one-week).
In 1858-1859, descendants of this Steinmetz family moved to the daughter colony of Brunnental.
The Facius list records that Johannes Steinmetz came from the German village of Hegeberg. The 1767 census records that Johann Peter Steinmitz came from the German village of Ekebergen [sic] in the region of Hanau.[5]
