Thoms Eborn may have been born in Beaufort County, North Carolina. He was transported to Ellison Plantation, Baldwin County, Alabama to be hired out as an adult in 1859 for $215. He worked on the Ellison Plantation in the development of Naval Stores, such as turpentine, in 1860.[1]
