Biography

Samuel Eddy was born 12 January 1743, in Middleborough, Massachusetts, to Samuel and Lydia Eddy. [1]

In 1758, above the age of 14 years, Samuel made the choice of Noah Thomas of Middleborough to be his guardian.[2]

In 1760, above the age of 14 years, Samuel made the choice of Zachariah Eddy to be his guardian.[3]

Samuel Eddy married Anna Morton on 10 March 1763, in Plymouth, Massachusetts. [4]

Major Samuel Eddy served with Plymouth County Militia, Massachusetts Militia during the American Revolution.

Samuel served during the American Revolution. He joined as Minute Man, then served as a Sergeant and a Major under Colonel Bradford, and Captains Joshua Eddy and Redding. His Revolutionary War pension file is S.45370. [5][6]
