Hezekiah Edwards is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A036606.
Private Hezekiah Edwards served with Lamb's Continental Artillery Regiment (1777), Continental Army during the American Revolution.
In 1780, Hezekiah served for five months as a Matross (Private) in Lamb's Continental Artillery Regiment.[2][3] He was awarded a pension for his service.[4][5]
In 1787, Hezekiah married Martha Summers[6], and they made their home in Trumbull. Martha's nickname may have been "Patty."[7] They had at least one son:
David Shelton Edwards (1794-1873), m. Harriet Eliza Henry[8][1]
Hezekiah passed away on 4/5 Mar 1854 in Trumbull, Fairfield County, Connecticut.[9] He was buried at Long Hill Burial Ground, in Trumbull.[8]
